This interactive map displays easements contained in the National Conservation Easement Database. At the national level, projects are represented as
purple points. Please zoom in, using either the magnifying glass tool or zoom tool, to get to a level where individual project polygons and their
green balloon points become visible. Balloons will display based on the density of projects within a particular area. If balloons do not appear at a
particular zoom level, zoom in until they appear.
Clicking on a balloon will display a pop-up window that contains a project description and link to the project detail page.
You can orient the map to a specific address, place or coordinates by
clicking on "Search the Map".
You can move the map by using the arrow tools on the left or by clicking and
holding your mouse, then moving the map to a new location. The [+] and [-]
tools will zoom the map in [+] or out [-]. The magnifying glass zoom tool will allow you
to select an area and zoom to that area, filling the map window.
Map layers are listed across the top of map and will display different map
views (map, satellite, topo and landcover) when selected. Registry Overlays
will display regions that have different designations (priority areas,
watersheds, ecoregions, etc.).
